foods, the Goji Berry rises to the top of my list
for many obvious reasons. In fact, its all of
these reasons that I felt it was a perfect fit
when I was looking for super ingredients to put
in Rich Vitality. Goji Berries have a plethora of
health benefits, medicinal purposes, and
consumable forms. These tangy orange raisin-
like berries, typically found in China, Nepal,
and Tibet, have been used for centuries to
treat numerous ailments. They contain
antioxidants which help protect the body
against free radicals, and they help in curing
degenerative eye disorders like cataracts, for
example. They can also help improve sexual
function, protect the liver, lower blood sugar,
and blood pressure, and help boost your
immune system. This list of vitamins and
minerals found in the Goji Berry prove that
there are many additional health benefits:
Vitamins: A, B1, B2, B6, C (In fact, they contain
more Vitiman C than Oranges.)
Minerals: Calcium, Copper, Germanium,
Magnesium, Phosphorus, Zinc
Amino Acids, Fatty Acids, beta-Sitosterol,
Polysaccharides, Cerebrosides
Goji Berries can be eaten dried, made into
juice, or taken as a supplement in capsule
form. The leaves can be ground into tea, and
even the bark can be used for medicinal
purposes. The berries themselves can be a bit
strong and bitter, but they will soften after
soaking in warm water, and then can be used
in trail mixes, shakes, soups, and teas. Add
these beautiful berries to your daily food intake
and they will surely show you their benefits!
